Critical Mass is written and produced by two writers and former journalists, Tim Miller and Tom Breen.
Tom Breen has written about religion in America for sources as diverse as the Associated Press and the Duke University Divinity School. A practicing Catholic, Breen was named the Religion Newswriters Association’s 2012 Religion Reporter of the Year. He currently lives in Connecticut, where he works in the communications office of a major public university. He is the author of The Messiah Formerly Known as Jesus (Baylor University Press) and Is the Pope Catholic? (Patheos Press).
Tim Miller has written about science and technology for institutions including the Museum of Science, Boston, and the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California. He has lectured at universities from coast to coast, been a consultant to the Office of Legislative and Public Affairs at the National Science Foundation, and worked as a press officer at a major research university. He is currently an instructor at the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University, and the author of the forthcoming Muse of Fire: Storytelling & The Art of Science Communication.
